ICED presents its first conference on 'Education for a Better Future: Education for Peace'. This is a first of its kind, free international forum for students, researchers and professionals who wish to present their projects and research of their work related with Education for Peace.

The event's organisers have interpreted the theme as follows: The role of Education towards the prevention and or rebuilding of nations who have been affected by conflict or natural disasters. We believe there is a direct correlation between Education and the propagation of Peace. The aim of this conference is to promote collaboration amongst students, researchers and professionals in the field of education and international development.

It will be held on Saturday 2nd of April, 2011 at the Institute of Education (IoE), University of London. This event is supported by the IoE and The British Association for International & Comparative Education (BAICE) - www.baice.ac.uk
